Lattin’s Country Cider Mill & Farm provides not only delicious products but is a destination for locals, especially in the Fall! Enjoy a variety of fresh, homemade pastries, syrups, jams and of course cider! If you have children they are sure to love all the animals and activities offered at the farm.
A local favorite are the warm apple fritters, regulars warn that you need to be ready to wait in line to get your hands on one of these scrumptious pastries! Hot cider, during the Fall and Winter and cider slushies during the summer are must-have items while visiting the farm. Apple cider donuts, as well as a variety of other flavored donuts, will tempt you to buy a dozen to take home!
All things apple can be found here! Apple sauce, apple butter, dried apple chips for the road and so much more! Their syrups and jams are wonderful pairings to go with your pancakes, waffles and french toast. You can look forward to their Thanksgiving pies, especially if you are hosting family and friends. Why not simplify life and let the experts make your traditional desserts?! Of course they have pumpkin, and apple, but they also have wild black berry and blueberry, strawberry-rhubarb, and marionberry pies. A few sugarless pies are also offered for those trying to keep to their diet while still enjoying the holiday:) Don’t forget about the Christmas cookies after Thanksgiving passes!
Treats are amazing, but if you’re steering away from deep fried foods and sugar you’ll probably be more interested in their other options. At this point you won’t be surprised that they have a variety of apples, but they also offer corn, canning tomatoes, peaches, summer squash and pumpkins. While they have plenty of sweet breads, they also have delicious garlic bread. Make sure not to pass up their homemade jerky!
Lattin’s hosts a variety of activities throughout the year and additional activities specific to the season. Family fun that is regularly available includes wagon rides, fun in the hay pile for kids, and feed that you can purchase to try and make friends with the farm animals. If you have kiddos who play all day, every day with trains, they are sure to love the train ride that is available. Sometimes they even have a balloon artist, which is sure to be a kid favorite!
Seasonal activities include the Apple and Pumpkin Fest running from the end of September through Halloween. They even host an egg hunt during Easter! Be sure to check out their Facebook page for updated information on prices and days they are hosting the events. Sometimes they have rainy day specials, so don’t assume they’re closed just because of the weather!
In 1976 Carolyn Lattin founded this beautiful farmstand. Her family had been farming prior to that, but she had the vision to turn it into the family-friendly destination that it is today! She continues to run the farm with her daughter.
