How to Get Rid of Flying Ants

Flying ants

The words flying and ant should never be used in the same sentence. Unfortunately, they often are and that’s where these tips come in handy. Here are some tips on how to get rid of flying ants naturally.

Natural Peppermint Spray

If you take peppermint oil and mix it with water and dish soap, it creates your own natural insecticide. Peppermint oil is known to kill flying ants from suffocation. If you spray the solution you created on any flying ant, it should get rid of it.

Dish Soap

Another way to get rid of flying ants naturally would be to fill a spray bottle with water and a little bit of dish soap and spray the ants with the mixture. Dish soap can get rid of ants by dehydrating them.

Boiling Water

If you are dealing with a large colony of flying ants, boiling water might be a good option for you. To ensure the removal of flying ants with boiling water, it is important to pour the water directly over the anthill or ant colony in question. This will get rid of the efficiently and naturally. However, it may not get rid of all of them.

Baking Soda & Powdered Sugar

Baking soda is a substance that can also get rid of ants. When you mix it with powdered sugar, it masks the smell of baking soda which means that oftentimes the ants will bring it back to the queen and their nest. This will then kill the ants.
